How the Playgroup is run
The Playgroup is a registered charity (No 298642) and is administered by a committee of volunteers. A large proportion of the Committee is, and indeed must be, parents of children at Playgroup.
The Committee employ the staff, ensure bills are paid and see that regulations (eg those laid down in the Council or Social Services) are followed. They also organise fund-raising events to buy more toys and equipment.
All committee members are elected at the Annual General Meeting to which all parents are invited to attend and vote.
